Last show of the year…
did some alternate ways of running the classes. Some nice rear crosses
and a 4 obstacle start !! Being Me, I thought I’d
end the year with a pole down in each class…just
for consistency!!

Went to Woodside with the
boys.. but had to stay
in the car & just have walks with mum in out of way places. Apparently,
I’m “in season” .. not sure what that means but my friend graham Grouse
told me to run & hide when I told him !!
So, 2 weeks off training;
then its xmas …. Nice little festive break for me then !

2nd place in a
graded 1-2 Agility !!! And there was mum hoping I’d
scraped a 7th to get the pink rosette !!!
She forgets I’m a
Gemthorne mental boy !!
Really getting the hang of
this Agility now… hope I‘m allowed to win a G1 comp cos I know mum wants to progress from 1-7 with Dizzy…
not fair.. she has to let me win once !!!

Did a Fun Show with mum @ The
Dog House. Just her & I there (no Eric & Dizzy distractions!!) .. managed 2 great Agility
results .. a 1st & a 2nd

Penultimate show of the year.
Gleniffer.. The poshest agility arena outside of olympia/crufts !!! Quite enjoyed barking indoors as
its very loud and echo-y … they could hear when “Eric’s
in da house” !!
Had our best run after lunch
in a whacky twisty turny, dancy
Jumping class. No idea how dad got round there
without being ill after his posh lunch & Guinness!!

Spent the day in the car with
mum & Maya cos they didn’t go to the
show. We went to Dobbies instead
!! everyone
else had cake .. except me !! maya met Santa but I
wasn’t allowed into his grotto… shame cos
I could have chased his elves for a laugh !!

Went to Gleniffer with Eric ; but as
I wasn’t jumping Big jumps when dad entered; I was just there as a
spectator !! Mind, it was
nice in there.. cant
wait till march when I can compete in the G1-3 show there. Met lots of nice Scottish dogs ; and plodged in the rain+mud… good ols

2 shows this weekend & only 1
rosette! I think dad & I
have to define a new strategy & I’m gonna
have to work away more (apparently !! Does this mean I have to commute ?)
Went in the Crufts team qualifier on
Sunday… “The Pink Ladies” .. I
was the only one not to get E’d .. so I think I may be
looking for new team mates next year!!
Enjoyed the weekend though.. but its quite tiring. I slept all Sunday afternoon
& night! Think I need a
well-earned winter break .. any
chance of skiing in Canada

Ran in any size again; but mum forgot to watch me & I missed a
jump. Otherwise a great run & quite fast for me !
Looking forward to competing properly at H&H on 25th…
hope I can get these weavey things sussed in time !
It rained this weekend when we were “trapped” in the car .. the sunroof was open
& we get very wet. Our parents are quite inconsiderate at times.. they didn’t even
offer to towel us down !!!

Not much competing this month ; mostly
training !
Went to a show at a castle; had loads of great walks in the
surrounding fields. It was my 1st G3 comp ..
so dad nursed me through a couple of clears..but we only came
about 15th with those.

More training with auntie Jacqui and up @ durham.
I’m quite enjoying this and am pretty good (if I do say so myself !). next season cant
come quick enough. I suppose I should learn how to do big jumps &
contacts first though !!!! And not sure what those weave-y
things are but mac seems to be enjoying them!

Started full size.. quite
like it, but its easy to fit under them init ?? !! Dad not happy when I do that!
Mum has invented a new sound that makes me go mental
.. so we are using this as the warm up !!
Been doing weaves.. strange
idea but quite good as I get cheese (& teddy) when I get passed the 6th
pole ! Wonder what treats are
instore after pole 12 !!

Just did the opening weekend of Northern Week..
2 wins at Grade 2 in Agilty !!! Whey-hey !! hard to get placed at this show cos
they're very stingy with rosettes & were only placing to 2nd !!
Anyway, thats me
finished at Grade 2. Managed about 300 points so far this year ... A good
years work. Hoping for a nice steak this Xmas !!!

Went to my first agility class last night. I was good
!!! Mum was so impressed at my speed & aunty Jacqui
likes the foundation work we have done. Just wait till next season Eric .. I'm gonna whip yer ass !!

A clear round again in the Any size jumping !!
Think mum is going to train me on full-size next week cos
I keep jumping the fence round the caravan !!
Its only a metre high !!!
Think I may enjoy this agility lark but I wont be as fast as the other 2 !

Back from Dashin Dogs. had
another win in Jumping and a few top 4 placings
in Agility. Dad wasnt well for the first few
days so our competition was limited.. then he found his feet ... and some special "go go" juice for me ... its lovely & works a
treat .. I even kept my feet up for a few of the runs
!!

My first competition !!! I even managed
a clear round !! Mum was very excited by
this and celebrated with chinese ice-cream (or thats what it sounded like she wanted) ... I got
to chew my fave teddy so I was happy !!

Well, what a strange weekend ! After a few
weeks off; probably our worst competition this year. Both dad &
I were rubbish frankly.. then
.. we pulled a clear round out of the bag
& won out of Grade 2 !!!! God knows how
! So, we're off to Dashin Dogs to
try & rack up some points in G2 before we move up.

Spent a girls night at home with mum whilst the boys were at a dog
show.. Even got to sleep on mums bed !! lovely &
comfy.
Then, sadly, we went to the show on Saturday. I managed to escape a
lot again... I have a new plan.. jump OVER the fence !! So I spent a lot of
time in my cage !!! And we didnt even get ice-cream this weekend
!

The Weardale washout
! Both the show & my performance
!! First show with no rosettes since mid May. I blame dad
for 4 of them .. although
he says that if I wasnt so precise in watching
him (and let him get away with the odd mistake) then we'd do so much
better! Only 1 fault in each class.. contacts on Sat, 1 pole on Sun .. but
clear's are needed to get anywhere in Grade 2 !!
Apparently, there's no more competition for 4 weeks now..just a fun show
in 3 weeks when mum is running me (oh crikey
!!)

Boring weekend.. spent
Saturday couped up in my cage as Eric went to
Agility. Then went to show on Sunday and met lots of people who all think
i'm gorgeous. What fools..
they dont realise what a manic typhoon I am .. cute on the outside ..mental
on the inside!
Mum says there's only 46 weeks till I can compete..and in 1 month I start pre-agility training..
cant wait !

Went to a big field on a farm & did some agility for the first time !! After about an hour I almost had the
hang of it & did some jumps & tunnels. Even did an A frame. Mum was very happy at this.. think we'll be doing it
again soon !!

weekend. Did well. Won a Jumping class !!
Dad well chuffed. That means I can now try to progress out of Grade 2 cos the aim was a Jumping & an Agility win @ each
grade.
Also hit my 200 points for agility warrant ..
whoo-hoo.. letters after my name !!!
Should have won out on Sunday. Fastest dog in class by 4 seconds...
but missed down contact on dog walk by 1" .
Dad not happy.
Maya was full of snot this weekend, apparently..
so there was green glue everywhere!

Didnt get up to much really ... no exciting
walks there so just ambled about for the weekend and met a few people.
Can't wait to start training for this agility lark

Another weekend of camping. Met lots of people and tried to pass
myself off as Eric !!
Did some ball chasing .. not
as fast as those other two but I tried !! Had fun playing with Eric
& Diz. Not sure whether I can be
bothered with this jumping malarky ...

Lune Valley Show. One of my best
performances of the summer so far.. but dad let me down a couple of times !!
Managed a 3rd & 4th in Agility.
Should have also had a 2nd place but dad dropped his arm..so I dropped a pole!
Then, after a great jumping round, he forgot to make me go left after
a soft tunnel .. hey, I
was facing a jump when I came out..how
am I meant to know its the wrong one !! Is his job to direct me !!! So.. we got E'd 2 jumps from the
end ! Oops !
Did well in another agility class ..but the
nasty judge said I didnt get my Up contact on A
frame. We dont agree with her...so quite miffed
at that one!
Had great fun jumping into the canal & swimming for sticks. Dizzy
managed to out-jump me ... not happy !
Dad said we need to get a few more points in the bag, then we can try to move out of grade 2. I , apparently, almost have enough for letters after
my name !! Get me !!!

Didnt escape much this weekend as I had Mac
for company & I spent time chewing him.
Had loads of fun jumping into the canal @ showground... managed to
jump further than Eric..dont
thinkl he was happy with that .. he wouldnt share his stick
afterwards !!

So, is this my life now then? driving
around in a cage in back of car, then sleeping in a caravan ?? !!!!
Eric had fun doing some interesting looking things .. jumping over
hurdles, through tunnels & tyres ; along
high walks & through some wobbly poles. I quite fancy a go at that
and am hoping mum starts showing me what to do... then I can compete
against Eric. I noticed that above my cage there are shelves of
rosettes & trophies ... maybe I can win some !
That said, I did qualify for Crufts 2009 and
Eric didnt .. so my achievements so far
in life are on a grander scale !!!

Competed at Hare 'n' Hounds show in Middlesbrough. Had a boys
weekend away with dad again cos mum couldnt get time off work. It was nice to spend time
away from that mental merle (dizzy).
Had a great day Saturday. No poles down, only two refusals cos dad sent me the wrong way then called me back !! I think I cheated us out of a win in the ABC cos I broke my wait.. then waited in the tunnel !!! Oops! Dont think dad was happy about that
!
Sunday was just too hot again. Didnt get any
clear rounds.
Had loads of open space to play in when not competing.. and there were no smoggy yobs in the area so it was quite a pleasant weekend!

Spent the weekend at home with my new brother Mac. Had lots of fun
playing & disturbing his sleep !!
Was left alone Sunday afternoon when mum took mac
to the show to see Eric. had a nice sleep &
dreamt of stealing toys + eating wallpaper !

Competed at Otley show, Harrogate,
in the hot hot sun !
Only managed 1 rosette this weekend! a
10th place in Combined Agility 1-3. Was top Grade 2 dog though so thats 1 positive thing !
Too hot for me on Sunday, I dropped a couple of poles in each class;
dad wasnt too happy but hey, its hot & I'm
black coated ... you try running AND jumping !
I think the real problem was that dad was too full of cake from Bettys to run fast enough !

Caused chaos ; escaped lots - will they never
learn ? !
Had a day of in/out of the cage on Sunday as dad & Eric were
walking courses & running. (No idea where mum was !) It
was hot so I was happy of the cool breeze by my cage.
Mum & Maya eventually appeared about 2pm..
with another dog !! I had to double-take cos it looked like a fluffy Eric..
but then I noticed his tail ! Apparently
he's one of Erics
brothers from a later litter. Mum is happy cos
he still has his nuts. Dont know what that
means, but apparently they have to keep us apart twice a year !!

Competed at Wigton
in grade 2. Had a really good weekend & think I was doing everything
right. Got all my contacts and my weaving was good. My dad managed to
bring me too close to a couple of jumps so we had 1 pole down in Saturdays agility classes. We did get a 10th place
though as fastest 5 faults dog .. I'm quite
quick you know !
My mum ran me in the combined 1-2 Jumping
& we got a clear round !!! She was
elated as this is the first clear mum & I have had ... sadly we werent fast enough to get better than 6th place.. but a nice blue rosette
anyway !! I think it was my fault though ... I didnt
go straight into the tunnel !! Oops!
On Sunday, I managed a 5th place in Doc's
Agility (1-3 Graded) with 1 pole down. Dads fault again I think !!! Then, I did the best run of my life in
the Graded 1-3 jumping. Working away, turning left & right on
command; running VERY fast. Unfortunately, dad forgot to tell me to go
left at jump 6 .. so I
did the long jump and was eliminated !!!! but
from jumps 7-20 I was top dog !! That was a definate
win that dad did me out of !!

My first competition in Grade2
..at Fair City (Scone
palace). Didnt enjoy the journey up there.. 4 hours couped up in the car .. lots of wind outside.
Arrived in the pouring rain and it looked
like the competition could have been cancelled !!
But, it dried a little and off we went. Not much luck on the Saturday,
but on the Sunday I managed a 2nd place in Agility graded 1-3 ... and was
only beaten by 0.013 secs from 1st place. I
think my dad was gutted as it was his fault! He got in my way by the
A frame and sent me up sideways !! I
managed to hang on & we completed the course clear
.. but sadly just too slow ! better luck next time.. get
your finger out dad !

On the Sunday, I managed to WIN both my grade 1 Jumping & grade 1 Agility
classes !
I did feel a little guilty when winning the agility title as I had
already won out of Grade 1 at the Hare 'n' Hounds easter
show .. but its not my
fault the kennel club invoke a 25 day rule !! Anyway, it was Doc's
course and I really enjoyed running it. I look forward to his next
courses to see if I can win again !

Had a lovely weekend at home with mum & Maya. No
dad nor Eric to pester as they were away competing @ Biggar.
Lazed in the sun .. ran
about far too much for a young puppy and generally terrorised
Maya by stealing her toys, food, seat & anything else I could get
hold of !!
Did some obedience training with my mum. I am now proficient at Right
Out & Left Out !! Cant wait to start
that tunnel thing .. and
those funny sticks in the ground that I wobble through !
